Jasmine Johnson
Jasmine Johnson is a scholar/practitioner of African diasporic dance. An Assistant Professor of Theater Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University, her work examines dance through diasporic, transnational, ethnographic, and black feminist frameworks. Johnson has performed as ensemble member with Muntu Dance Theater of Chicago, Wula Dance and Drum Company, and Ballet Merveilles de Guinee.
Description: This workshop explores traditional Guinean dance theory and practice.
